It follows orders. It is not to blame for the content of the orders. If you want to change them, you have to win elections, and typically, dems focus rage in the wrong place and play into the hands of fear mongering repubs who call it "advocating for a borderless country". Reducing their chances of actually winning elections and changing those orders. Sometimes, I wonder if some dems don't prefer finger wagging from the sidelines to actual policy making.

But in this series of pre-election day threads, I was riled up over repub fear mongering. Abolishing ICE may be stupid, but it has absolutely nothing to do with open borders. ICE is not responsible for the borders - they enforce immigration laws inside the country, and the Border Patrol is responsible for securing borders. Nobody wants to abolish the Border Patrol.
